Great restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere, looking out on the Mystic River. Service was prompt and very friendly. Food was delicious. They have a great chef. Average prices for the area, but better food than most. Great selection too. There were a few good vegetarian options for me, and seafood options for my husband.
If you want delicious seafood and great views in Mystic, this is the place. S&P sits right on the river and has seating that lets you enjoy the view during your whole dining experience. The food was delicious and I thought it was fairly priced. The fish I had was a special. It was perfectly cooked and had excellent flavor. Our waiter had told us it was his favorite dish on the menu and recommended I give it a try and I was glad I did. He provided excellent customer service also. We truly enjoyed our dining experience here ! Also, I would recommended the seafood potato skins as an appetizer. They were delicious !
We live in Mystic and this is our go to place for an excellent meal or a special occasion. Never disappointed. Servers very attentive and friendly, they take pride in their service and in the excellent food they are serving. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic with beautiful views day or night of the Mystic River and drawbridge. Anytime of year its a great choice but especially at Christmas time with the lights and decor. For the people with small kids who have written poor reviews, keep in mind that this is not a family style restaurant, it is fine dining. When I'm out having a dinner and paying for the atmosphere and quality of the food I'm getting I don't want to be distracted by screaming kids who don't know how to behave and who's parents can't control them! Think of other people not yourselves in this type of situation. You get what you pay for, and for Mystic this is a very well priced well portioned meal.
What an experience. As always the food deserves more than 5 stars. I never have the same thing twice and I'M never disappointed. The waiters are all knowledgeable and can help with the difficult decision of which dish to choose. Do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner.
Every time we visit Mystic we stop here so I've only been twice but each time has been enjoyable. The food was very good and the setting, from the decor to the awesome gardening around the property, was all on point. The beer selection isn't vast but what they have was fine. The mixed drinks here were great. It's pricey here but you are getting what you pay for.
