Newly renovated. Not sure what I think yet.
This used to be my favorite restaurant before their renovations! They were closed for about a year and we were so anxious to go back there for dinner!! Surprised we were!!! We were seated outside and the waiter seemed wonderful! When the food came we realized how different the food was and not for the better! Th e portions on our favorite seafood & pasta dish were not only smaller but there was very little seafood in it! All the dining areas were packed and loud, with lots of families with small children! We only gave it two stars because it's our former favorite restaurant and had many memories of nice romantic dinners! When we told our waiter our displeasure with the food and lack of ambiance he stated that the former chef didn't return to the restaurant and that it was in fact significantly smaller as GO FISH had to sell off a good part of the restaurant property! This may be the place if you want to bring your three year old out with you to a family dinner, but definitely NOT the place for a quiet & romantic dinner!
Great place!!! The food was wonderful. We shared the mussels, the calamari and a Caesar salad. We were stuffed. Didn't even finish. Right off 95 south going home from Newport. Our waitress was Amazing! The only thing...... the manager or owner does not smile, at all. But maybe she was having an off day. It's all good. Really nice experience.
Light Tuesday crowd after Labor Day. With over ten empty tables more if you count sushi section and hostess puts us at table 50, a snack table size table. The waiter was at least kind enough to apologize knowing there was HARDLY no one there!!! Silverware was dirty not cleaned after dishwasher. Food was okay. Waiter was the best. Note again to hostess, if you have light dinner service, you do not need to use table 50!!! We eat out once a week or more and will not bother wasting an effort to go here.
Fresh food, Big portions. Kids fish n chips was so tasty, my son ate it all. Hot buttered lobster roll was fresh. Oysters on the half shell extremely fresh. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I'll be back, maybe they'll realize that raising prices and lowering quality will not "keep em coming back" but I'll check back.
Menu. ...some changes. ...I used to LOVE the lobster roll on brioche but NOW cheap hotdog bun....really? It is bread. ...why cheap out on that?
Staff was nice. No complaints with the service. :)
