Big Y is my grocery store of choice.
They need baggers. As I was bagging myself, the cashier finished as I was signing my receipt he left bags on unit and proceeded to ring up next customer. I had to walk around cart to retrieve my groceries. Never a smile or thank you. We need more competition in mystic!
Good service and the presence of employees in the store is helpful. The seafood dept though should know their fish and be able to answer questions and know their dates of shelf life.Maybe Not keep pre-frozen fish longer than 2 days in case.
I am disabled and always find an electric cart. They are always in good shape. The staff is helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
This place is great! Right up the road from me, their meat, fish, cheese selection is stellar - and they often have unique, hard-to-find items as well. By far my favorite grocery store.
Only other option to Mcquades Marketplace which considering they both offer decent and different items...if you don't want to drive far for Pizza Dough then this is your place to go. Its better than other farther stores as well. They are accomodating here also. No one gets 5 stars unless you can raise the dead let alone bread dough.
